My practicum school promotes the guiding attributes of EPIC, and I was able to link the Seven Sacred Teachings to it. The seven teachings are broad and virtuous qualities for any student to possess, and can likely be able to be linked to any schools guiding principles. Below is how I linked to EPIC, and can be used as an example for how to link them to other schools.
EXCELLENCE "The quality of being outstanding or extremely good"
Connected to the Teachings of Truth and Love:
Truth - by living and speaking the truth you show honour and sincerity which demonstrate an outstanding character.
Love - by loving yourself and others you are demonstrating that you have self-confidence and self-worth, and that you will put others before yourself; which are virtuous qualities.
PERSERVERANCE "Persistence despite difficulty in achieving success"
Connected to the Teachings of Wisdom and Humility:
Wisdom - being diligent, determined, and dedicated to having experiences, learning from others, and gaining knowledge, even in the face of hardships, is to be wise.
Humility - pursuing our place in life, understanding our limitations, and having patience in our endeavours shows humility.
INTEGRITY "A quality of being honest and having strong moral principles"
Connected to the Teachings of Honesty and Respect:
Honesty - being true to yourself and to others, being trustworthy, speaking from your heart, and telling the truth even when it is hard shows you have integrity.
Respect - Respecting everyone, no matter who they are or where they come from shows honour, sincerity, and strong morals.
COURAGE "Having strength in the face of pain, grief, or fear"
Connected to the Teaching of Bravery:
Bravery - standing up for your convictions, listening to your heart and doing the right thing, even when it is hard, and using your personal strengths to overcome hardships.
